On April 3, 2022, Wendy Lyman Ryan went to her heavenly home just a few months shy of her 82nd birthday. She was born in Newport, RI on June 17, 1940. She has been a resident of Silver Spring, MD since 1964. She worked for the National Institutes of Health as Patient Care Coordinator for 20 years. She was a long-standing member of Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church (now Silver Spring United Methodist Church) since 1964. She was preceded in death by her parents (Harry Lyman and Mildred McBride Lyman), as well as her beloved son (Christopher Ryan Sr.). She is survived by her husband (Robert Ryan); her sister JuLee Vincent (Rodney Vincent); her children Craig Ryan (Carrie), Cindy Bowman (Jeff) and Cheri Varron; her grandchildren Casey Gerard (Rob), Rachel, Tabor, Colleen, Brittany Acosta (Jancarlos), Christopher Jr., Douglas McCauley (Stacey), Sarah McCauley (Ashlea), Nicole (Alex) and Tony Varron; her great-grandchildren Carrie, Robert Jr., Robby, Ryan, Sophia, Stella, Penelope, Jancarlos Jr., Joaquin, and Hazel. In lieu of flowers please you can make a donation in Wendy’s memory to the American Cancer Society. There will be a memorial service/celebration of life on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Silver Spring United Methodist Church, 8900 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910. A reception with light refreshments will follow the service at the church.
