Susana B. Ramirez

Beloved mother and friend, Susana (Susan) B. Ramirez was born 1970 in Guatemala,Guatemala and died January 4, 2024, at 10:41 a.m. in Rockville, MD.

After arriving in the United States, Susan promptly started studying English at SANZ School in Washington, DC, where she met her husband Robinson Dominguez. After years of courtship, the couple was married in 2000, and had 2 beautiful children, Kayleen, and Gabriela.

Susan loved her friends and dancing; she enjoyed spending time talking to her sisters in Guatemala and keeping up to date with her neighbors in Rockville. Susan’s love of cooking and animals was unmatched. She spent countless hours looking up recipes and trying them out on unsuspecting guests and children.

Susan loved winter, she never backed out of a snowball fight, unless it meant actually getting hit by one! Gabriela will cherish the memory of chasing her mom with snowballs as Susan begged not to be hit, as she silently formed a perfect circle and landed it on Gaby, these memories are the treasures Gaby can hold on to.

Susan loved her faith; God was an ever-present figure in her life. Any chance she got, Susan took advantage and visited the various churches in the DMV. Having a daughter attend Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland, gave Susan the perfect excuse to partake in various activities she enjoyed. By visiting her daughter at school, Susan got to engage in spiritual walks across the grounds of the Grotto of Lourdes and combined her love of nature with her love of God.

Above all, Susan loved her beautiful daughters Kayleen and Gabriela. Susan was a great mom, she protected her children with all her might, and made sure they were always taken care of. There was never a lack of love and concern, or wise words that will ring true as they mature and grow.

Susan is survived by her husband Robinson Dominguez, her daughters, Kayleen Dominguez and Gabriela Dominguez, and many family and friends.

All are welcome to join the family for a viewing at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, located at 805 Wayne Avenue Silver Spring, MD 20910 on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 5-9 p.m. Followed by a Catholic Mass, same location, on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 10 a.m. Subsequent to mass, we will proceed to Gate of Heaven Cemetery, where Susan will reach her final resting place.
