May her Memory Be Eternal
Survived by her son George Theodore Paul, Daughter in Law Deborah Jean Paul with twin Granddaughters Samantha Nicole Paul, Alexis Michelle Paul and Patrick David Heying and Derek Andrew Wisooker with Great Granddaughter Georgia Jean Wisooker. She is also survived by her niece Patty Economides, nephews Danny Cokinos and wife, Nancy Cokinos, Jimmy Cokinos and wife, Maria Cokinos, along with great nieces, nephews and their children as well as God Son Billy Deoudes and wife, Olga Deoudes, and children.
Yia Yia resided in Mt. Airy, MD for 15+ years with her immediate family enjoying the animals, continuous visitors and participated in family events proudly. She was known for spreading continuous joy and laughter around her. Georgia Paul was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Washington, D.C. She was the daughter of Catherine Eliopulos Theodore and Chris Panturis and stepfather Pete Theodore. Georgia Paul and family were avid church members of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral and Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
She is welcomed by her family members in heaven with open, loving arms: husband Peter Paul, son John Paul, brother Pete Panturis, sister Christine Cokinos and brother in law John Cokinos, niece Katherine Doney, nephew William Economides and extended members.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Greek Orthodox Church of Saint George 7701 Bradley Blvd Bethesda, MD 20817 for the Yia Yia Playground Fund in honor of Georgia Paul and her commitment to faith and family.
