ROBERT RYAN Obituary

On October 13, 2023, Robert Lynwood Ryan went to his heavenly home at the age of 88. He was born in
on March 28, 1935. He has been a resident of Silver Spring, MD since 1964. He worked for the U.S.
Postal Service for 30 years. He was a long-standing member of Marvin Memorial United Methodist
Church (now Silver Spring United Methodist Church) since 1964. He was preceded in death by his
parents (Willard and Alberta Ryan), his beloved wife (Wendy Lyman Ryan), as well as his son
(Christopher Ryan Sr.). He is survived by his sister Barbara Whipp; his brother Ronald Ryan (Connie
Ryan); his children Craig Ryan (Carrie), Cindy Bowman (Jeff) and Cheri Varron; his grandchildren Casey
Gerard (Rob), Rachel, Tabor, Colleen, Brittany Acosta (Jancarlos), Christopher Jr., Douglas McCauley
(Stacey), Sarah McCauley (Ashlea), Nicole (Alex) and Tony Varron; his great-grandchildren Carrie, Robert
Jr., Robby, Ryan, Sophia, Stella, Penelope, Jancarlos Jr., Joaquin, Noemi and Hazel.

In lieu of flowers you can make a donation in Robert’s memory to the American Cancer Society. There will be a
memorial service/celebration of life at a future date.
