Debra Benedict Obituary

Debra Marie Benedict, age 67, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2021 at Manor Care South in York, Pennsylvania. She was born on September 3, 1953 in Washington, D.C. to the late Vernard and Betty (Pence) Woody.

Debra loved her family deeply and enjoyed watching her son play ball from a young age. She adored her granddaughters, Kendall and Reagan. Debra worked as a phone operator for AT&T for many years and then was a transportation driver for senior citizens in Vernonia, Oregon. Debra had fond memories and lots of stories about girls trips that she would take with her mother, sister and cousins to Williamsburg, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bernie. Debra is survived by her son, Donald Benedit III and his wife Jaime of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania; granddaughters Kendall and Reagan Benedict; Sister Sheila Smith and her husband Richard Smith of Falls Church, Virginia; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
