Bum Koo Jung

Bum Koo Jung unexpectedly passed away at home on Thursday, August 11, 2022.

Bum was born to Sun Chun Jung and the late Bok Raye Jung, in Seoul Korea on February 5, 1968.   In June 1974, his family immigrated to the USA from South Korea, not knowing one word of English. After two years attending grade school in the US, Bum was able to speak fluent English. 

Bum was a natural athlete. He played basketball and played soccer for a travel team and high school  Junior Varsity and Varsity soccer team.  In addition, he enjoyed golf and watching football, especially his favorite team. GO STEELERS!

Bum worked with AT&T before he worked at the Department of Homeland Security, where he was well respected by his colleagues.   He was strong and committed to whatever he attempted and when he set his mind to it, he could accomplish anything.

Bum Jung is survived by his parents, Sun Chun Jung and Keum Sook Jung. Two sisters and their spouses, two brothers and their spouses and six nieces.
