Vanitha Khetan Obituary (1973 - 2025)

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of Vanitha Elvi Khetan, cherished by many and remembered for her warmth, intelligence, and vivacity. Born in India on July 8, 1973, Vanitha illuminated the world with her radiant spirit for 52 years. A beloved resident of Fairfax, Virginia, she was known for her infectious laughter and indomitable spirit, which made her a beacon of light for those lucky enough to know her. Vanitha was a software engineer by profession, but her talents extended far beyond the realm of information technology. She was a master of balance, adroitly juggling the demands of her career with her unyielding dedication to her family. She is survived by her husband Hemant Khetan. The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 9:00 am EDT at the Indians For Christ Tamil Church, located at 8300 Adelphi Road, Hyattsville, Maryland. The funeral service will follow at the same venue later that day at 10:00 pm EDT. A burial service will be held at George Washington/Mt Lebanon Cemeteries at 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, Maryland, 20783 at 12:00 pm EDT.
