Maria Pastora Barrera Henriquez

Maria Pastora Barrera Henriquez, age 106, peacefully passed away on Thursday, July 14th surrounded by her children and grandchildren at her home in Silver Spring, MD. She was born on March 31, 1916 in Zaragoza, La Libertad, El Salvador to the late Segundo Henriquez and Rosenda Barrera.

Nina Pacita's greatest delight was to spend time with loved ones, especially the younger generations of her family. Her deep faith in the Lord guided her through life and enriched her soul. She was proceeded in death by her 5 brothers and 2 sisters, and 4 children- Gladis, Humberto, Juanita, and Gloria de la Paz. She is survived by her children- Rosaura, and Baltazar (Gloria); 3 grandchildren- Milton (Whitney), Alexandra (Chris), and Andrea; and 5 great grandchildren- Matthias, Lucas, Abram, Elias and Eva.

A viewing will be held at Saint Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 11801 Claridge Road, Wheaton, MD 20902 on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 8:00-10:00 pm.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Catherine Laboure Catholic Church on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
