On Sunday, August 11th, 2024 Joyce Mary Hamaty of Silver Spring, MD. beloved wife of Nicholas Hamaty, father of Nicholas Hamaty Jr.(Maggie) and David Hamaty (Michiko), sister of Maryann Schenkel and daughter of Samuel and Eftidad Farrah. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachel, Jack and numerous relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 12 PM at Saints Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 10620 River Rd, Potomac, MD 20854. Burial services and interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD. 20906. The mercy meal will follow the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church.
