In Loving Memory of Gloria Haydee Puentes
November 16, 1962 – October 17, 2026
Gloria Haydee Puentes, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 17, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, strength, and memories that will never be forgotten.
Born in Peru on November 16, 1962, Gloria carried her heritage and her love for family with her throughout her life. She was a woman unlike any other — brave, kind, loving, and incredibly strong. To know Gloria was to know someone who gave her heart completely to the people she loved.
Gloria was the devoted wife of Jorge Puentes. Their story began when they first met in middle school, and their lives remained intertwined throughout the years. Their love and life together became the foundation of their family.
Her greatest joy was her family. Gloria was a loving mother to Jessica Puentes, Melissa Puentes, and Matthew Puentes, and a proud grandmother to her beloved granddaughter, Luna Puentes. She loved her family deeply and cherished the time they spent together.
Gloria had a wonderful laugh that could brighten a room and leave a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to hear it. She loved walking, spending time at the beach, dancing and, of course, enjoying her husband’s cooking. These simple joys were part of what made her so special. She also loved to work and took great pride in everything she did. She was a determined woman who faced life with courage and perseverance.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jorge Puentes; her children, Jessica Puentes, Melissa Puentes, and Matthew Puentes; her granddaughter, Luna Puentes; and her siblings, Raul Talavera and Lidia Talavera, along with extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
There are no words that can truly describe the loss of Gloria. She was the bravest and kindest woman ever, and there will never be another person like her. Her beautiful laugh, her love, her strength, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Although she is no longer here with us, Gloria’s love will continue through her family and through every life she touched.
There is no one like you, Mom. We love you, we miss you, and we will carry you with us forever.
