On Sunday, October 5, 2014 formerly of Sandy Spring, Md. beloved daughter of the late Ernest O.Thornton Jr. and Thelma L.Thornton, beloved mother of Irene Washington and Romeo Dameon Thornton, sister of Shirley Reddix, Sterling Reddix, Ernest Thornton III, Mary Thornton, Betty Simms, John Thornton, Richard Thornton, and the late Robert Thornton Sr., grandmother of Kiearra Tolson-Matos, Karmen, Kandyce, and Kaylah Matos, mother-in-law of Tony Matos. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Norbeck Community Church 2631 Norbeck Rd. Silver Spring,Md 20906 from 11 am until time of funeral services at 12 noon. Interment private.
