Peter Khoury Boyle Obituary

Peter James Khoury Boyle (PJ) passed away on August 15, 2018. He was born on October 15, 1974, in San Francisco, CA, and was the beloved son of Peter K. and Carolyn (Howie) Boyle.

PJ joined scouting as a Cub Scout and was active throughout his youth, ultimately acquiring the distinguished rank of Eagle. He led younger scouts to achieve their goals.  Throughout his life, PJ consistently employed the scouting skills of resourcefulness and the instinct for serving others.  In more recent years, he was a leader in his son’s Cub Scout Pack.

PJ had a great love for San Francisco.  Growing up in the City cultivated his love of adventure, cultural diversity, service and travel.  While attending George Washington High School, PJ excelled in his studies and participated in the debate club, making lifelong friends.

PJ graduated from U.C. Davis in 1997, with a BA in International Relations, and a minor in German, cum laude. While at college he traveled and worked as a lifeguard in Switzerland, perfecting his great skill in the German language. In 2013, as a career professional, PJ earned a degree in Public Policy from George Mason University, graduating with High Honors.

His work experience encompassed both the public and private sectors. Most recently he was a Budget Analyst for US Agency for International Development. Previously, he had served faithfully at other federal agencies - the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Commerce (NOAA), and the Department of Justice (US Marshals Service)- contributing skillfully to budget planning, execution, and policy for use of federal funds in the missions of the agencies concerned.

PJ was known for his boundless energy, quick wit, intelligence and kindness. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him. He is survived by his wife, Michelle (George) Boyle, his son George David Jamiel Boyle, his parents, and his sister Amelia ‘Amy’ (Boyle) Tannous, her husband Chris and their children Speero and Kathryn ‘Katie’ of Roseville, CA, along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him.
