Nick was born on May 9, 1939 in Landover, Maryland. He was one of ten children born to Nicholas Sr. and Vivian Hamilton. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and later worked for over four decades as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service.
Nick met his wife Ana when she emigrated from Asunción, Paraguay to Washington DC. They had two daughters, Vivian Eulalia and Dolores Miriam Hamilton. After retiring from the post office, Nick continued to work as a landscaper and also enjoyed gardening at home.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a dear friend. Nick was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 3, 2018. He is survived by his two daughters, two grandchildren, Nicholas (Cole) and Dolores (Lola) Frankenhoff and siblings Eileen Davis, Linda Reed, Sheila Davis, and Kevin Hamilton, and a large loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife and his siblings Pat Marshall, Marcia Nixon, Wayne Hamilton, John Hamilton, and Tami Kelly.
