James Xeron

James (Dimitrios) Xeron was born on July 29, 1935 in Diavolitsi, Greece and passed away on July 12, 2019 in Kalamata, Greece. He is being brought home to the United States so his beloved family and friends can say their final goodbyes. On August 3, 2019, the viewing will take place at 10:00 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Bethesda, Maryland. The funeral service will commence at 11:00 AM at St. George. Immediately following, his burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill, Maryland. After his burial, his loving family will return to the Grand Hall at St. George for the traditional 'Makaria' meal, where all our family and friends are welcome to join us. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James (Dimitrios) Xeron who died in his beloved Greece just two weeks before his 84th birthday. He is survived by his beloved wife Matina Xeron and his loving children Sophia, Irene, Mike (Evelyn), and Andrew (Chelsea) and his 6 grandchildren Demetra, Stamatina, Constantino, Dimitri, Alexia, and baby Niko (4-months old). May his life be celebrated as we honor a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. His grandchildren brought him enormous joy and he will be missed by all that knew him. May he enter the gates of heaven and his soul forever rest in peace. We ask in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. George.
