David Leyton

David Leyton of Hyattsville, MD was born on August 31,1932 in Managua, Nicaragua. He left this world on Sunday February 18, 2024 at home very peacefully.  He was married to Esther Leyton and they had a daughter Argentina Leyton. His parents were Jose & Maria Leyton(pre-deceased). He also had 5 other children: Maria Socorro Leyton & Walter Leyton(pre-deceased) in Nicaragua and later had Walter, Pedro (Cyndi), & Adriana (Jeff) with his first wife, Bethsabe Leyton (pre-deceased).  He also had a sister Orfa Leyton Hudley (pre-deceased) and a brother Roberto Leyton. He had a multitude of cousins, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He came to the United States in 1956 as a man of 24 years old leaving his country of Nicaragua.  He worked in restaurants as a Chef in Washington, DC then later as a Banquet Waiter at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill.  He became a United States Citizen in 1976 and would help family members or close family friends emigrate and establish a life in the US as he did.  He lived a long 91 years and although he will be missed, he loved life to fullest.
