William Edward Basher

Basher, William Edward died on June 10, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents William Daniel Basher and Millicent Marie Basher (nee Zimmermann), a sister Gloria Beltowski (nee Basher), and a brother Howard Basher. Bill is survived by his wife Kathryn (Katie) Willis Basher. They were married 67 years. A daughter Dr.Suzanne L. Spurr (nee Basher), and a son William Douglas Basher, additionally, by various nieces and nephews. He served his country during WWII in naval aviation. After the war, he spent years with the CIA.

A Catholic Mass will be offered at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St.John the Baptist Catholic Church 12319 New Hampshire Avenue Silver Spring, MD 20904 and inurnment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date . In lieu of flowers, Bill's wish was donations to be sent to  St.Jude's Medical Center.https://www.stjude.org/treatment/affiliate-clinics/johnson-city-tennessee.html. Final arrangements are pending.
